This Privacy Notice for BOOA Studios ("we," "us," or "our") describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share your personal information when you use our services, including when you visit www.booastudios.co.za or engage with us in other related ways.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register, express interest in our products, place an order, submit payment proof, apply to become a store owner, operate a store owner profile, or contact us. This may include: names, phone numbers, email addresses, delivery addresses, usernames, passwords, billing details, order details, payment reference information, proof of payment files, WhatsApp numbers used for payment proof messages, store profile details, store owner application details, and product submissions.
Store Owner Application Data. If you apply to sell on BOOA Studios, we may collect and store your business or store name, location, product category, delivery or shipping readiness, social media link, estimated product count, business description, application consent records, application status, review notes, and limited sample product images for onboarding review, fraud prevention, platform safety, and communication about your application.
We do not process sensitive information.
Payment Data. For online card payments, payment data is handled by the payment provider shown at checkout. For manual EFT orders, BOOA Studios may store order payment status, payment proof files, payment proof history, rejection reasons, and review records so that customers, store owners, and BOOA Studios admin can manage the order responsibly.
Social Media Login Data. If you register using a social media account (e.g. Google), we will collect certain profile information from that provider as described in Section 5.
We also automatically collect certain information when you visit our Services, including IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, and usage data. We also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.

For marketplace orders, we may share the customer details needed to fulfill an order with the relevant store owner, including name, phone number, delivery address, order contents, payment status, and proof-related information where required to confirm payment. Store owners may only use this information for BOOA Studios order fulfillment and support.
We may also share information in connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to gather information when you interact with our Services. We also permit third parties (including Google Analytics) to use tracking technologies for analytics purposes.

Our Services allow you to register and log in using a third-party social media account (e.g. Google). We will receive certain profile information from your social media provider — typically your name, email address, and profile picture. Order records and payment proof records may be retained for customer support, dispute handling, fraud prevention, accounting, and audit purposes. We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You should only access our Services within a secure environment.
We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using our Services, you represent that you are at least 18. If we learn that personal information from users under 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and delete such data. Upon a request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases, though we may retain some information to prevent fraud or comply with legal requirements.
Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. We do not currently respond to DNT browser signals as no uniform technology standard has been finalised. If a standard is adopted that we must follow, we will update this notice accordingly.
